Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
Marital
My sister in law is married and has one child by the man she ismarried to. She suspects that there has been innappropriate behavior towards her teenage daughter from a previous relationship. They were married in Florida and now reside in South Carolina. She feels helpless and needs to be able to leave this situation tonight. However she does not know what to do.

Re: Marital
If her daughter has been/is being abused - she needs to leave with the kids or he needs to leave. If she fears for her physical safety, there are domestic violence advocates in her area who could assist her. THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILD comes first ALWAYS.
She should contact a family law attorney in SC to assist her as well - assuming she is interested in divorce, primary custody, etc.
Re: Marital
Your sister-in-law needs to consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to her based on the facts of her particular case.
