marriage legal or not?
got married in 1998 with legal marriage license. found out in 2000 that he was not divorced. remarried, 2nd license, found out in 2006 my divorce wasn't finalized, military by whom he is employed treats us as married. i have his name. we have now separated and i need to know what i need to do dissolve our ?marriage? i want my maiden name back. what do i do?

You have a complicated mess to sort out. Since bigamy is still a felony in South Carolina, it is very important that these issues be handled in the correct way. Before I would give you any specific advice, I would want to get a good bit more information from you, and we would then discuss divorce vs. an action to declare the marriage void.
