Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
During a marriage, the wife commits adultery and laters have a child. The husband gets the divorce but the DNA results say the child is not his, so should the husband pay child support or is he obligated to?

The issue of paternity must be addressed as soon as the case is filed in Family Court, and if it is not done correctly, then he could find himself paying child support for that child that is not biologically his. Again, this is a complicated area of the law.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
