If I marry a registered sex offender can my ex-husband legally come and take my child?

If you choose to marry someone that is a registered sex offender, the other parent may certainly use that as a basis to seek custody of the children. Further, I think that the Court would have some concerns about leaving the children in the home with a registered sex offender, and it may prohibit the children from being around him/her at all.
