Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My mother has custody of my two kids. The court order was for me n the kids mom to pay her child support. I got married n my mother has allowed the kids to live with me for 9 years so far. My mom now has the kids mother paying me child support. My son who is now 18 wants to live with his mother now n his mother is trying to make me pay child support. Do I have to pay this to her? Or should I go back to court to get custody back from my mom?
