the mother vs. grandparents trying to obtain full custody

my daughter has lived with grandparents for 2 years during my time in college. i have graduated college. they gave her to me and then pick her up for a week visit and never brought her back. two weeks later they sue for full custody, child support, and attorney fees. i had my own place, insurance, and a good job. why can't i get my daughter back. temporarily joint custody in progress but no date set to go back into court. need an attorney to go back into court to obtain full custody.

I don't have the time just now to do justice to your question but have suggestion. This sounds like it is a case in the J&DR Court. In your situation, you should, at least in theory, be able to obtain assistance from the officials or counselors employed by that Court.

Yes, indeed, you need an attorney to represent you in your battle for custody. If you cannot afford to hire one, you should contact your local legal aid society, and they may be able to provide you with one.
