Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina
I have been paying $400 a month for 2 children for the past 10 years then i got very sick and wasnt able to pay for a year then I was granted disability so now they take $400 out of my $1200 a month disability for child support my ex wife also receives $400 a month for the percentage of my disability the children receive. Is this correct that she should now receive $800 a month when I only receive $800 why doesnt the $400 from disability cover what I was obligated to pay?

If you take this matter back before the Family Court, it will most likely have the children's portion of your disability payments satisfy your child support obligation to her.
These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
