Re: percent of wages/child support

There is no flat percentage. Child support is determined according the the Child Support Guidelines, which is a very involved formula established by the Department of of Social Services. Both parents income, deductions, assets, depts, etc., are calculated, including any special needs of the child, and a specific amount is then determined. It is very detailed and takes many things into consideration, such as insurace, day care, medical expenses, utilities, just to name a few. No one could tell you how much you would be entitled to receive without knowing all the financial details of both parents.
