Property divided during divorce

What do I do when my name is still on a mortgage loan & deed of property that my ex husband lives in and he has not made a payment since june of 06. He will not communicate to me what he is doing. HELP

The answer to your question depends on how that issue was addressed in your Divorce Decree.

If the Order required him to make those payments, hold you harmless, refinance, etc. and he is not complying those terms, you can file a contempt action against him to enforce the terms of the Order.

If the Order doesn't place those requirements on him, you may be out of luck. If it doesn't address those issues at all, you may be able to have the Court do so now.

As you can see, these issues are complicated, and it is therefore important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
