Can I put a false return address on the certified mail envelope when I know the person being served will not sign for it with my address displayed?

Attempting service under false pretenses is not a good idea. If you suspect the person won't sign for the letter, then why not have a process server or the Sheriff's Dept. serve that person for you?

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
