Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I recently had a child and the father lives 4 states away. My son is not even 4 months old yet so I was wondering what his rights are as a father? We were never married, only together 1 month. Can he take me to court and take my baby back to his home state for frequent visits, 4 states away from his mother? Would I be reasonable to get the baby to him or him to come see the baby? Thank you, any advice on this topic is needed major PLEASE!

The father does have rights, if he chooses to assert them. What he will be able to do will depend on the specific facts of your particular case.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
