Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

restraining order?

The soon to be ex-wife of my friend has been calling my house, driving by my house, and has followed me in the past three days. She told my friend that she hired someone to take care of me. Her words were,''insert my name' is dead!'' Can I get a restraining order against her? How do I do this? What evidence do I need? I am scared that this will escalate. There is also a child involved in their divorce. Could a restraining order on my behalf hurt my friend in court?

Re: restraining order?

You need to consult with your local Magistrate's Court to answer your questions about a restraining order. You may also want to contact the police and/or the Solicitor's office; as there may be criminal avenues that you might want to explore.
