What is the Riot act? Where can I find a article pertaining to the riot act?

Recently, when visiting with my guardian ad litem about my custody case, she told me that my lawyer was "screwing me over" and that I should read him the Riot act. In the heat of the moment I didn't think to ask what exactly it was and where I could find it?

This is the thing that your mom or dad did you when you screwed-up. They "read you the riot act" as they were yelling at you.
