Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

I am going through a rough situation with a spiteful ex girlfriend. she is now using child support against me. i have spoken with my child and agreed that she will not ruin our relationship. if i sign my parental rights over to my child's mother, will i still have to pay child support?

If the mother has custody, then you will be required to pay child support to her. Of course, you can seek custody of the child for yourself, and if you can prove that she is attempting to interfere with your relationship with your child, you may prevail.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
