Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

SC birth certificate

What information is required from the father on a SC birth certificate. Does the father have to have a DNA test done if the parents are NOT married at time of birth?

Re: SC birth certificate

The father can acknowledge his paternity of the child if he chooses / desires to do so. A DNA test is not mandatory, but it is generally advisable to protect himself in case the child is NOT his biological child.
