Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Separation

My husband is on the verge of moving out after having been accused of marital infidelity. If he does carry out his plan to leave, what can I do legally to protect myself and my two daughters? I'm not encouraging him to leave at all, so I'm waiting to see if he is going to leave based on his own will.

Re: Separation

You have several options, which you should discuss with an experienced family law attorney.

However, the "short" answer is that you can file an action with the Family Court to have him required to contribute toward your household expenses, child support, spousal support, attorney's fees, etc.

If you want more information, you can visit my family law blog (www.SCFamilyLaw.com) or our website (www.StevensFirm.com).
