Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Seperation and joint custody

My wife recently moved out of the house and filed separation papers. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. We are both professionals. We have been married 3 years and she also has 2 twin sons from a previous marriage. She has a greed on joint custody per the inital separation papers. Is this common in SC ? How are my chances at gaining full custody later on in - say in the next year ? Lets make it where everything is equal and no bad judgmentsn either parts. ?????

Re: Seperation and joint custody

Joint custody is somewhat common in South Carolina. As far as your chances of getting custody in the future, that depends on many factors. The court will base its decision based on, "the best interests of the child."
