Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Well being of my sister

My sister is 13 yrs old and lives in the state of SC..My mom and step-dad are getting a divorce and he will have no custody or vistation because he molested my sister. My mom now has met someone from online from CA and wanting to take my sister and move there. My sister wants to stay with me. With me not knowing what kind of a person this man is and the past my sister has could she chose to live with me. My mother isnt even letting her finish school here and all of the family is here..I feel it would be in the best interest of my sister if she would stay with me and my husband. Any advise on what I should do or if i even have a chance? Course there is more to this story but I had to make it short. Thanks for any help. If age matters I am 26 so im not a teen or anything of course.

There is a chance that you could get custody of your sister, based on the limited information you provided. It is difficult to take custody from a parent in SC, but you might have a chance.
