Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

In the state of SC, with a decree of separate maintenance and support that was signed more than one year ago, can you legally date while awaiting the final court hearing for divorce OR could you be accused of adultery?

You can still commit adultery until and unless you are divorced. What the ramifications of that adultery will be will vary and depend on the facts of your specific case.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
