What are the steps I'd have to take in order to get a divorce and how much does it cost?
I live in South Carolina, was married July 9 2004 in Massachusetts. My husband went to prison for raping his sister in April of 2005. We have not been together since. His current location is in Connecticut DOC.

You can file here in SC for a divorce if you have been here for over a year. You do not mention whether he will agree on the asset / debt issues and/or if he will cooperate in having the divorce granted. If so, then it will take much less time and cost much less money for you.
