Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

visitations

I have visitation with my son every other weekend. My ex wife is keeping him from me. She has no Court Order saying that I can not see him. How could I get him on my weekends?

Re: visitations

If the Court Order specifies when you are supposed to visit and she is denying you that time, then you can file a contempt action to enforce the visitation. If there is no Court Order specifying the visitation times, then you can file an action to have it specified.

Of course, you also have the option to seek custody of the child if she is wrongfully withholding the child from you and/or attempting to interfere with your relationship with your child.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
