Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

To whomever answer this question, I want you to know that I relly appreciate your answer. Im in a situation right now where my husband and I had been common law for about 16 to 17 years. We got married in 2008 and have now been married for 3 years. We have three children, 18, 16 and 13. Two months after getting married, my husband starting having an affair with another woman. The affair is still going on. I have contact some attorneys to try and start the divorce procedures but was told by some that I couldnt try to receive alimony. I have provided text messages and people in our small town have told me that they would testify because everyone knows. I have tried to talk to him and ask for counseling because I honor my vows deeply. He sleeps at out house sometimes and then at hers. He tells me that there is no relationship between him and the other woman but i am not stupid. This woman calls my phone and my daughter phone and has been harassing us for the past 2 years. She drives past our house and everything. I have police reports but the police dont do anything about it. I have changed out numbers several times but she still gets it out his phone. My name is not on the mortgage for the house. Everything is in his name. I am sooooo tired. I have lost weight and my hair from all this stress. Please someone help me so that I will know what it is exactly I need to do. I really appreciate it.
