what south carolina law states an officer can remove a husband from his or her own home

Most states have laws about domestic violence, and officers generally have discretion to remove whomever it makes the most sense to remove to keep the peace. There may not be a specific law,--so why not just call the police station and ask under what authority they tend to remove people from their homes (without being specific or arguing about it).
