Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina

animal control

We just recieved 8 tickets for our two dogs. Running at large, no shelter, failed to obtain liscences, and inculation required. Each ticket is 776.25 dollars. This is the first time this happened. There is no way we can pay 6010$ for two dogs . we live in the city limits of greer south carolina. I looked up on line to see what the city says. It just says that we need to liscences the dogs if we are in city limits. I have a month to take care of this. What can we do?

Re: animal control

Go see a lawyer. Often these cases can be neogotiated and the fines reduced and sometimes one or more of the charges can be dropped. Of course you are entitled to a trial. But if you don't want to go to trial a lawyer can help to neogotiate the fines.
