Re: Auto Mechanics Suit

I assume that your asking how to do it without a lawyer. That is basically an impossible question. Attorneys go through three years of law school after four years of college. Then they spend years practicing in order to know how to sue someone. Quite frankly, there is just too much to it. It would take hours to type all the aspects of the law, the procedure, rules of evidence, direct and cross examination, drafting and serving legal pleadings, etc. However, if you are intent on doing it yourself and you will be suing for less than $7,500.00, then you can go to your county magistrates court and they can assist you with the process. They are not allowed to give legal advise, but can steer you in the right direction. If you are suing for more than $7,500.00, then you will have to do that in State Court and the process is much more complicated. At least in magistrates court they try to keep things much more simple. My best advise is for you to retain an attorney. Good luck.
