Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina

I had taken a guy to court to recover money that I paid him to build a deck for me. The judgement was ruled in my favor and the defendant ordered to pay the amount that we had settled on. Problem is, he hasn't begun to pay me yet....what do I do now to recover my money?

At this point you will need to look into having the Judgment enforced. There is a specific procedure for doing that and its more than can be explained in this answer. The best thing you can do is meet with an attorney that can review the Judgment and any other documentation that you may have, and advise you on how to enforce your particular Judgment. You might also want to write the defendant and explain to him that Judgments have interest attached to them and paying you now could save him money in the long run. I wish you well
