Legal Question in Civil Litigation in South Carolina
Legalities of disbursing private information about another
What can a person (private citizen) who is not party to an event or transaction legally say about that business event or transaction to another party? What are the legalities of disbursing information about something one is not party to, to others who also are/were not a party -or of disbursing negative information? What constitutes libel or slander? Is the person who IS party to a business transaction ethically responsible to preserve the privacy of the parties with regard to that transaction? Thank you in advance.
