Mcdonalds employee assaults patron
Tuesday 9-07-04Went into McDonalds with my 3 children 11,9,8.Ordered my food.It came wrong.I told her what was wrong,and she proceeded to blame me for ordering wrong.She gets the assistant mngr,while mouthing loudly about how it is my fault.The assistant mngr comes up, and says ''she can't do that''.I say fine give me a refund.The head mngr. comes up, the 1st employee is calling me names under her breathe.I still have no refund, 15-20 min have passed.I repeat many times to just give me a refund so that I may leave.The 1st employee comes around the counter,walks to me says she is off the clock now and is ''going to lay my white ass out''.I stand there, arms down,she says ''white boy don't look at me like that'',then pushes me with her fists very hard back into the counter.I immediately said she hit me and stepped away,asked the mngr to help-she refused.she finally gave me a refund.I never touched or threatened her,she came over to me & assaulted me.I called the police, but they said they did not see it and was my word against hers.A former Greenville Judge was there and stayed30 minutes to tell the police what happened, but they sent her away.I got her info, and she said to call if I needed her. What can I do? Do I have a case?

If you really want to pursue the matter, contact the police chief and tell him/her that you really want charges pressed and see what happens. As far as a civil suit, technically you have a case, but it probably isn't really worth your while, since you were only pushed, not seriously harmed, and I doubt you would receive much in the way of compensation.
