Legal Question in Insurance Law in South Carolina

Annuity Insurance Inheritance

My mother's oldest sister passed away recently and left behind an Annuity Insurance Policy. My mother as well as 5 or 6 other relatives were named as the beneficiaries. My question to you is; if my mother died in 1996 and her name was not removed as a beneficiary at the time of my aunt's death, does her estate (five children) inherit her share or does the inheretance go to the other named beneficiaries? We appreciate your expediant answer. Thank you.

Re: Annuity Insurance Inheritance

I have a problem with your question. The outline shows New York and South Carolina. There are a number of other facts that I would need to know. I would suggest you contact an attorney in person regarding this matter. I would need to see the Annuity, etc.
