Legal Question in Insurance Law in South Carolina

Automobile accident

My brother was involved in a hit and run accident. He was not the driver, but his car was at fault. Does he have a legal right to know the name of the other driver and to see the other vehicle involved?

Re: Automobile accident

He has the right to get a copy of the police report which would show the name of the other driver if they found out who he was. He also can ask his insurance company where the other vehicle is or ask the police officer if he knows where the vehicle is. There is no "right" to see the other car, but there is probably no reason why he can't go look at it.
