Legal Question in Insurance Law in South Carolina

Disability Ins question

I have been removed from work due to major back surgery for nearly a year. Upon return to work for the same company it is very possible I'll be let go due to lack of a position before I know IF I can do the job or not. IF I am let go, and then found later to be disabiled is it possible to go back on the disability coverage that was in place at the time of the surgery? I am sure that no other insurance company will cover a pre-existing disability for at least a year, and it is VERY possible that I will not be able to return to my profession, as it involves a lot of standing and walking, and stair climbing.

Your question can only be answered by reviewing the insurance policy that you have. Not all policies are the same and there is no way of adivsing you on its terms without reviewing it.
