Life insurance information

In regards to the funeral industry. When a beneficiary has signed necessary documents to assign a life insurance policy to the funeral home or has given them power of attorney to file the claim for them on their behalf. When we call the insurance co. To find out info (ie amt of policy or amt of loan against policy) regarding the policy do they have the right to deny us info based on the privacy act?

I'm sorry, but you have not explained this so that an answer can be given. Who is the beneficiary? Why on earth was a life insurance policy assigned to a funeral home, or was it? File a claim against whom? For what? A loan? What loan? What is your role in all this? Are you the beneficiary?
