Discrimination
Can an employer keep female employees from doing what they consider ''manual labor'' and delegate it solely to the male employees?

Re: Discrimination
There are several things I'd want to know before agreeing to take such a case, or before giving a final opinion. But basically - no, an employer cannot prevent one gender from doing work that is part of the job for which they were hired solely on the basis of their gender. Nor can an employer refuse to hire one gender for a job solely because of gender. That's pretty much the essence of sex discrimination, and what the antidiscrimination provisions of Title VII were meant to prevent.
However, I should caution you that in this area of law, much can turn on specific details which may alter the outcome drastically. If this has happened to you, I urge you to either call my office or any employment attorney who represents plaintiffs to discuss the matter in detail.
