Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in South Carolina

30 day notice

If I gave my landlord a 30 day notice to terminate the lease for not fixing problems and naming a specific problem on the notice and he did not fix it even after 14 days so we left are we entitled to our security deposit?

Not unless issue rose to the level of constructive eviction, which would have to be a MAJOR issue, like no heat in winter, open roof etc.

Your lease and state law controls, but terminating the lease without cause will likely forfeit your deposit ( and you may be liable for further lease breach damages.)
