rent paid

i paid my rent last december by check. a few days later the landlord was robbed, now he wants me to still pay for december. i still have my receipt for every month i lived here including december.

Once you have paid the rent for December and you have receipt for the payment, the landlord cannot claim the rent again from you. Please tell him politely not to make an unjust and unreasonable demand.
