Status Conference in Civil Case

A status conference happened on Feb. 17 and we found out that the other sides (the defendant) attorney didn't attend. Will he be in trouble?

Re: Status Conference in Civil Case

The answer depends on the judge and the reason that the other attorney did not attend. Obviously, there are legitimate reasons and judges can vary widely with their tolerance for such issues.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
