awol want to go back

i have a friend that wants to go back into the army but is afraid to how can he go back in the army from virginin? where does he need to go to turn himself in?

The question implies your friend is AWOL or in deserter status. It may be helpful for him to contact an attorney before turning himself in. If he wanted to turn himself in without counsel, he can do so by going to any Army post and notifying them of his status--but I think it's better to have counsel first. He should be aware of the penalties for desertion under Article 85 and desertion under Article 86 of the UCMJ.
