Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

My child, amongst others were beat up at the bus stop. (both in elementary school) by a high school student. I have been telling the school for months as well as the police and no action has been taken. Now my kids have been assaulted and the school will not release the high schoolers info to me so I may press charges. what should I do from here and how much responsibilty belongs to the school

I'm sorry for what you and your family have been through.

It shouldn't be your responsibility to obtain the high school kid's name. That should be the responsibility of the police. You didn't say, but I assume that you called the police. If you have not, then that would be your first step. Especially since you've described a crime.
