I'm a little confused. From what I can gather, your asking about the possibility of filing a law suit in regards to what is called a Personal Injury. But what I don't understand is if there is any connection between you being hit by a prop and the police being there. Were they there because you got hit or did they just happen to be there? I'm also a little confused about the filing of a complaint. What sort of complaint are you referring to? It would also be helpful if I knew what sort of a haunted house this was. Was this a private residence, or business? Did you pay money to go in it? These questions make a difference. Were you injured? As far as you still being able to file a law suit, about all I can tell you without more information is that for a Personal Injury you have Three (3) Years to file from the date of the accident. Unless you are suing the government, in which case you have Two (2) Years. Lastly, you are talking to the right kind of lawyer right now. I'm a Personal Injury lawyer and also do Criminal Defense.
