Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Liability

Say a radio station offers $1,000 to the first listener that can come to the station and collects the award. Say the person on their way to the station hits and injures or kills another motorist/pedestrian. Can the radio station be liable for causing the accident? And if so can you PLEASE find me a case revolving around that? Thanks!!
