Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Polysubstance exposure at construction site

I have been injured from polysubstance toxic exposure while installing sewer pipe at a BRAC naval base. A dig permit was with held from me that stated to avoid dermal contact along with several of the contaminants. No mention of anything appeared on the work plans either.Work comp has paid weekly checks for 2 years and medical for exposure treatment. Is the engineer responsible for injuries by way of neglect(strict, gross etc)? What type of suit is this? What kind of legal representation can I solisit?

Re: Polysubstance exposure at construction site

You have several legal issues which are intertwined in your case. Workers' compensation should pay your medical expenses plus a lump sum for any permanent injury/impairment you may have sustained.

Also, you may have a direct action against the person/entity that intentionally withheld that pertinent information from you.

You should consult an experienced attorney who can get the additional necessary information from you and advise you what your options are.

Need more information. Was the engineer working for the same company as you and were you an independent contractor? Depending on the answer to those questions, you may have more than one law suit, including a products liability and negligence. You can call or email me at [email protected] Robert Johnston
