Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

An unsafe safe

I was recently injured at work . The lid to our safe fell as I reached in. My arm was broken at the wrist. The co. I work for has paid all my medical bills.

Should I sue the safe co. for negligence? I know that the pin.( which is to keep the lid up so it cannot fall) was worked on three previous times before.

It is now fixed properly.

You have the right to bring what is called, a third party negligence claim against the safe company. You also might be entitled to a settlement from the workers compensation company. How and when did you learn that the pin was faulty?
