Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina
I am writing to inquire if I have a justifable case. On May 13th 2012 I left an establishment in the evening and the weather conditions was heavy rain. I walk out of the building on the walkway (walking briskly) and my left leg slipped and I fell on the pavement right on my left knee . I screamed in pain and could not move my leg because of the acute pain. Someone called an ambulance and I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with a sprain left knee after x-rays were taken. The doctor also put me on crutches. I followed up with an Othropaedic doctor a day later who also took more x-rays and shared with me that I have a MCL sprain. He gave me a leg brace and said to keep it on for 4-6 weeks.
The establishment was movie theater and they even took my name phone number from my daughter. I never received a call from them to check on me and ask how I was doing, and now the bills are coming in. Do I have a case because this happened on their permises? Despite the weather? Please help me

There is no way to answer your question wtihout knowing why you feel. Your questions says your leg "slipped." But that's all it says. the only thing I can do is guess that it sliped because the surface you were walking on was wet. Generally, sidewalks are not very slippery when wet. They are made with a substance that still allows the foot to maintain some sort of grip, even when wet. So, I assume that the surface you were walking on was not a sidewalk surfact. But that's just an assumption. I think you need more details for your question. Right now, its too hard to guess at what caused you to fall.
