Wrongful Death Act

My son was murdered in February of 2006. Since then my family has suffered extensive emotional and financial distress. Can my family sue the boy who has confessed to his murder? Can my family sue his parents since they are the ones who continue to defend him although he has an extensive criminal background including an order of protection?

Sorry for your loss. Yes, you can sue him. Its doubtful that you could sue his parents for, "defending," him.
