Legal Question in Product Liability in South Carolina

Can My Friend Sue A Supermarket After The Fact

Myself and a friend were in the Charleston, South Carolina area last summer, and decided to stop late one night at the local Food Lion in Mt. Pleasant. My friend slipped and fell in the store where watermelons had fallen and burst, and had not been mopped up. I witnessed this, and though my friend was in pain, did not call the ambulance. My friend has had continued problems in the neck and back since the incident. Is there any legal action that can be taken against the firm, even though it has been nearly a year after the fact?

You have 3 years to file suit for a personal injury in South Carolina. If the suit is against a governmental agency, then you have 2 years.
