Legal Question in Real Estate Law in South Carolina

A deed of distribution has four names on it and three want to sell the land but the one don,t. What should I do to get him to sell.

I'm not sure if I exactly understand your question. You mean what are your legal options? Or are you asking from a practical standpoint what might you use to talk him into it? I assume your talking about what might entice him to sell. Without knowing this individual or anything about the property, its hard to say. I can tell you that other people in this situation have taken a number of different approaches. One thing is that maybe the property can be divided up, so that three could go ahead and see 3/4 and he would be free to retain the remaining 1/4. Again, don't have enough information to give you much of an answer. It is possible to seek a court order, but that too would require having more information. Let me suggest this. Call a local real estate attorney who can ask you all of the necessary questions and give you an informed opinion as to your options. I wish you well.
