Legal Question in Real Estate Law in South Carolina

hilton head timeshare

we purchased a timeshare last year in august 2005. we were blatently lied to ,told we could rent our weeks out and it only takes a 45 day minimum timeto plan our vacations.we were with my in-laws at the table and we all heard the same answers, there's alot more to the lies but in the basic point we signed a contract being told we purchased the highest value only to be robbed monthly, the contract we signed was mailed to us in october 2005 in that contract unlike the original it states in a code form that gold crown member which is what we were told we were is apparently only every 3rd year after we were told we had weeks every year! they added info. to this deed or contract conveniently our sales rep. no longer works there and the rep. we were given over the phone for months is now also gone! we only purchased this as an investment property ,we can't afford to even pay this without renting it out which now they claim they don't do. i'm so lost what do i do??

Re: hilton head timeshare

There is really not enough information here to answer your question. I suspect that you have a good claim but it is difficult to tell you how good or how to follow up without the following information:

1. Did your purchase transfer an ownership interest in land to you or only the right to occupy the property for certain periods.

2. In what State was the purchase solicted?

3. Where did you meet with the sales representatives?

4. How and where was the contract signed.

I suggest that you either rewrite your question with this information or, if you like, give me a call and we can discuss the issues.
