I'm afraid that this is one of those questions that really needs to be answered in person with an attorney. There are just too many possible legal issues and if I was to try and enlighten you I might miss something important and that would do you and injustice. Plus, I just dont' have enough information. You say your name is on the land and home. But you didn't say where. Is it on the deed, the mortgage, both? You might have Family Law issues, Contract issues and you might need a Real Estate attorney. It would really be in your best interest to consult with one or more lawyers that can ask you questions and possibly review documents. Wish I was more help, but I don't want to steer you wrong.
