Refund of earnest money
Do you have a time frame to withdraw an offer on a house and get a refund of your earnest money.

A basic rule of contract law is that an offer can be withdrawn anytime before it is accepted. Once it is accepted, then a contract has been formed. A contract for the purchase/sale of real estate has to be in writing in order to be enforceable. Hope that helps.
