My wife died and land was in her name. Can I use quit claim to transfer deed.

No you can not. You cannot transfer property that is in someone else's name. In other words, a Quit Claim Deed is a way for the owner of property to transfer ownership. Since the property is in your wife's name, only she could do a Quit Claim Deed. Now that she is deceased, that is impossible. There are other ways of doing it however, depending on several things such as if there was a Will, if there was a will how it reads, whether her estate was in Probate, etc. Your welcome to call if you have more questions.
